The not stows seem a little narrower - not sure if this is because of the lack of a storm welt.

Richard the Shoehealer himself posted about the Not Stows a while ago.

This Boot is the usual Stow 'pattern' but is made on the more regular fitting W2298 Last.
The W2298 Last was used for the long discontinued (3 years ago) Tricker's 'Corniche' collection. These models were 'Country Style', but regular fitting and Lighter weight. Most of them had Storm Welts, but Single Leather Soles. There were a couple of Commando Soled models that had a Leather Mid-Sole fitted.
You would also note that the boot is fiitted with a Flat Welt but the Sole Edge is kept to a fairly Wide Trim.
I personally wouldn't consider the bot to be 'sleek', but it definitely has a little more 'shape' in the Toe than the regular 4497s Last of the Stock Stow.

Want to use them in winter so commando sole is a must I think. Really like the contrast between sole and upper part but unfortunately haven't found this combination in major online stores (there were a list somewhere earlier in theme). Don't mind buying maybe not a black one, but a shade of brown. Newbie so not sure how to properly search for it. Also not sure about the size since but generally I wear 9 UK / 10 US.

End Clothing has several different Stows on a commando sole, and I think The Bureau Belfast has at least one. Hopefully you'll find one you like. Welcome to the thread!

The boots pictured were expressley made for My wardrobe and up until recently they had this boot in most full sizes in Black, Navy and Acorn and all on a commando sole (no half sizes appear to have been made).

I was tempted by the acorn especially when they had a 30% off offer over the Halloween half term break, but I have a regular off the shelf Stow and couldn't justify another boot purchase.

All the acorns are now gone but I just checked the site Obmanoid and they have a pair of Navy's left in UK size 9. Unfortunately there is no discount on them at the moment from what I can see.

If navy not your thing, check the stores that mothball mentions. Others stores to try include Shoe Healer, Kafka.co.uk, and Tricker's themselves via their factory store where some of these 'made expressley for' shoes turn up as slight seconds at http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/retricker1829/m.html.

Suede Not-Stows from STP. They're actually marked with the model name "Langston". Same style number M7395 as the other pair I have.
