I've got that lollipop boot from The Bureau and it's one of my favorites - wear it all the time. The other two are fantastic. Good job going overboard! Richard told me recently that Horween is not doing lollipop cavalier any longer, so it's good to scoop one up while they're still around.

If that is Horween lollipop cavalier leather, then it doesn't take polish that well, as it's a variation of chromexcel. Nick Horween told me once not to use neats/mink on this version of chromexcel. He suggested renovateur or venetian cream. I use reno + a very very rare application of saphir cream polish in hermes red if i ever need to add a little color in.

MSAINT did some nice work on his lolipop Stows.
The Allans I just got are a bit darker and less red than my Stows from a while ago.

Nice laces in the brogues too btw can I ask where you got them from?

Cheers

I did use Saphir Mahogany and Black (to underline the edges) on both boots.

The stow where lolipop red and the Rippon where kind of Burgundy
Stow from red to oxblood, before and after:

The shoe laces come from a UK shop with a very good service : http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260727471324&var=560168929376&ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649
perfect on both my Tricker's and my Red Wing!

Question 1: does Tricker's use split suede or full-grain suede?

Question 2: What does SF think of these?  LINK

What is "full grain suede"?

I wear a 9D in the same AE lasts (probably a 9E in the 2) and a 8UK in Meermin Hiro and Olfe.

My 8UK in the 4444 is pretty roomy, I'd go with the 7.5UK.

There's a good explanation here:  http://www.rancourtandcompany.com/leathers

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is how thick the uppers are on the suede Langston model.  I have some unlined split suede chukkas from Allen Edmunds, and they can't even support their own weight.

I saw that you bought some Langstons - how do you like them?

Them Langstons are okay.
They're worth it with a 35% off coupon.

Though, I proxied a pair for a buddy but ended up returning them because the leather was really veiny on one of them.

I ended up buying a pair of the Langstons in suede from STP for $320 shipped.  I'm interested to see how they'll fit into my wardrobe.  I'm stoked to get some dressier boots, though.

The wingtip derbies w/ the Dainite sole looked nice, too - maybe in the future... :)
