Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread - Page 237

I actually stopped in at the Grahame Fowler store in NYC for the first time three days ago. The shop is TINY, but the staff was very friendly and they had a lot of special make-ups, as well as some standard models (mostly with leather soles). Their prices are a bit high (so at the end of the day they are close to a lot of the UK prices after tariffs).

I've also found Trickers in the US at Leather Soul (Honolulu and Beverly Hills), and at Haberdash in Chicago. LS Honolulu's stock was a little thin last time I was there (early this year), but supposedly they have a shipment on the way.

Maybe Zippy knows of more US sellers?

Very nice! I need to get on this...

I am quite interested in getting a pair with a natural welt as it provides a nice contrast and modern look. But how does it stand up to weather and scuffs? Would it be hard to touch up dark patches and scuff marks, since polish and conditioning may darken it? And lose the striking contrast look?

The welt will only darken. Perhaps if you finished the shoe with some sort of clear veneer than perhaps you can slow down the wear and discoloration

I've got 2 pairs with 6 months of wear between them, and much prefer the natural welt on the older pair now it's darkened. There's still a contrast, but not as striking as when brand new.

Nice! I wanted this color, but my size wasn't available. Had to settle for the marraca suede.
