here they are: http://marenoni.it/classiche/36-tricker-s-robert-cordovan-brown.html
thanks guys

The pair of Tricker's I have with the "Robert" name are longwings on the W2298 last.
Those are plain toes, so I have no idea if they're related.
Tricker's use Comipel cordovan. It's okay but a lot thinner than Horween.

Maybe Robert is not just a model but a family model, what is strange is that I can't find it in the Tricker's website. Anyway, you seem happy with your shoes and that's enough for me.

My bad. My longwings are called the "Richard" not Robert.

Robert was a custom order model from the Jermyn Collection.

Can someone confirm that Tricker's always uses UK sizing on their boxes and shoes/boots?

My friend bought a size 8.5 pair online, but the seller can't confirm if they're a UK or US size 8.5

Looking to get rid of some Trickers Bourton in the Marron color, 9/10 condition size 7uk, 8us, 41 eu. PM.

Since it's winter and others might be using waterproofing products, here is a pic of my Acorn Stows after using SnoSeal. It soaked in nicely and did not really change the color (which is a concern with some products).

Yes, always in UK size

my latest additions - before a complete Saphir overhaul

Trickers could only add that they were style 9664 found in an old brochure from the 1970s - ‘Medium brown gorse calf, round toe, Flex Dri-Ped leather sole"

They have wonderfully thick leather which buffs up great. Have been resoled well with a "Downton" waterproofed leather double sole that Trickers are not familiar with.

Ignore the "yes" answer above - Trickers do mark shoes in US sizes, and I have a pair that have the US size in them. They always state this if you buy direct, or from their factory shop. Buy private and you could be caught out. Rare, but it does happen if the run is made for a US store, for example. Even a MTO US order could be marked up as a US size inside.

It is often referred to as overseas sizing and can be found in Japan. It is a half size larger than the British equivalent.

Is it a wingtip boot? If the model number is M2508 then it's possible it has been marked with overseas sizing. Unfortunately, this is not always the case so it's super hard to be sure what you're getting if you're not buying direct from the factory or if the Japanese shop you're dealing with isn't aware of the sizing differences. To make matters more confusing, model M2508 has been built on both the 4497s and 4444 lasts.

If the model is M5634, then it's almost certainly UK sizing.

If it's not a wingtip boot, I'm afraid I don't know enough about the model numbers to give you any advice.

I've been told if you peel off the heel pad the UK size and last is written there.

I've also heard that. I wish they put the last number with the model number on the boot shaft or committed to model numbers referring to specific last and sizing combinations. It's seems a bit useless to have a model number that can denote multiple last and sizing possibilities.

That being said, I'm much happier with my Tricker's experiences than Alden experiences and have almost finished selling all of my Aldens as a result of longtime frustration with at least one aspect of each boot. I've reached the point where I cannot philosophically settle with anything less than a perfectly comfortable, supportive, and durable garment any longer. Less should be more :)

Here from Shoehealer:

"Under the Back Sock in every Tricker's Shoe is written the UK size and the Last Number that the shoe was made on. This particular model was made on Tricker's 4444 Last, and is a UK size 9 1/2. "
