Full brogue in Teck shell cordovan with red lining on a chanelled leather sole. Quite sleek for Trickers smile.gif. Also waiting for a Burford boot in dark brown and they'll join up with Wetherby boots and Keswick shoes.

The other shoe in the last pic is a Church's Grafton to give an idea of relative shapes and in particular the trimness of the welt on the Trickers shoes. The sole has quite a nice bevel too, which you can't really see in the photos.

Sorry the pics aren't great, there's no natural light at the moment.

I asked Richard at Shoehealer about these. He thinks they are likely based on a model called the Tetbury that came in black scotch grain, on the 4537 last.

I have two Tricker's on that last. Belgrave first (Herring shoes photo); Mayfair second (my photo). I think this last fits great; I'm a big fan. And BTW, I just purchased a C&J on the 337 last, and the shapes are almost identical.

The cordovan shells from trickers i was told are not sourced from horween but Argentina. They have some wicked colors. I wonder if it's the same one used by meermin, the quality reviews ain't great.

Thank you for that, much appreciated.

Happy to pass it on. I only asked him, because I wanted to find out where to get a pair like yours. So thanks for posting your original photos.

Why would they do such a thing to some innocent cordovan?

Someone bought these for £300 today, just a day after they listed. I agree with others, without the band-aids they would be perfect and I would have bought them myself. A biker somewhere is going to be having fun today...

Hi all! This is my first post. I'm wondering if anyone has a pair of the Maiden Noir x Tricker's collab brogue they want to sell? I've looked all over and can't find them and did not want to pay full retail price as that was a wee bit too high. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

I would be interested in others experiences with the 1) Wetherby, 2) Grassmere/Superboot, and the different 3) Monkey Boots.  Grahame Fowler has a few Monkey Boots.

What is the Wetherby "gorse" leather like?

How about the "zug grain" on the Grassmere?

What are the lasts like? Any preferences?

What last is the Monkey Boot on?

Any sizing issues?  Up, down etc...

I understand the MTO thing and hope to get there one day, but I am still navigating the stock and collaborative roadmap.

Any discussion is appreciated!

I have experienced some difficulties with Alden and C&J over the past few years.  A friend with a Stow and Burford suggested Trickers since I wear through Red Wings rather quickly.  I may be hooked from what I have seen and tried on so far!

I have the Grasmere in both the 4497 last and the 4444 last.s Trickers run a little big anyway, but the 4444 last is very generous. If you have a thin foot, I wouldn't recommend it, nor if you like your shoes super tight, However, for someone like me, who has a thicker midfoot, it's very comfortable. You can size down a bunch though. My size 9UK fit very well, and perhaps even a little on the loose side (which is what I prefer, I can't stand tight shoes, and I am a 10.5-11 US in most footwear. My 9.5UK on the 4497 lst fit well too, but is definitely slimmer through the forefoot.

See this page for some explanation of the mysterious naming of more or less identical styles.

Basically the Whetherby is just the plain toe country boot but it's only available in wide (aka fitting 6).
I think Grassmere has the faux cap toe stitching.
I think they're both on the 4497. It fits big.

Monkey boots can be on at least two different lasts, the 4444 and the 5402R .
The 4444 fits pretty big. Bigger than the 4497.
The 5402R is more or less TTS.

What last are the Golash wing tip boots on?  Same as Stow 4497?
