Hello Seer,

 

I totally agree, but for their maiden journey out and about, rather do after the first walk. I'll surely be splashing about plenty times ahead.

 

Waxy Cuba is impressive, just don't see too many members with pics posted up on this thread. Any guess to the general reason why?
 

I'm not sure why waxy cuba doesn't get more attention - I think it's rather manly... Rough and ready...

Finally received my beechnut Bowoods from Paul and Friends in Sweden.
Lovin' the red dainite sole. Great price too. They ended up being about $369 shipped to Seattle.
They used postal service so no brokerage/duty.
Looks like they have a 7.5 left.

I do like that color. I've been thinking about ordering a pair of Lambourns in that leather. Great pickup.

I really like the waxy cuba, but I haven't seen much available in it. Those look great, and welcome to the forum.

Had a hard time picking between those and the waxy logger boots... Went with the loggers... But absolutely love your pair... Waxy leather = hard as fuck...

Now those are a man's boot!

Other than collabs with wedge soles do an Tricker's come with Vibram soles ?

Thought the non-leather options were Dainite and Commando soles.

I have a pair of scotch grain captoes on a Vibram sole, much lighter and looks better in person than I imagined

First of all I would like to thank everybody who have contributed to this tread, I think I have read most of the postings and it both helped me and inspiered me to order my first pair of Tricker`s. The choice was abviously, The Shoe Healer it had to be. Never had better customer service like the service I recived from Richard.

 

So my first pair is out of the box and they fit perfect.

 

Eaton on a 4444 last with fitting 6 size 10. Commando sole and barbour welt.

Last month I purchased a pair of cuba waxy trail shoes from The End. The only negative thing I can say about them is the bellows tongue - at least I think that's what they're called. The 2nd picture is of the tongue. It's just below the laces, and they're stitched on both sides. It's a little difficult getting my foot in the shoe, and the right shoe's tongue at times hurts my delicate foot. I used a shoe stretcher to expand it and it seems to work. I'm also thinking of taking some of the stitching off, but I'll see.

It appears that those collabs (Tricker's x End Hunting Co. ) have a vibram gumlite sole.

So, I'd guess that it's just collabs and MTOs that have Vibrams and none in the 'normal' lineup ?

 

Yup. Gotta remember that Tricker's, before all these recent collabs and MTOs, was one of the most conservative of English shoe-makers and Vibram soles aren't generally widely-used over here anyway.

Looks great Ritchie, laces nice contrast.

 

Glad to see more Waxy Cuba's pics, so they're getting some love. Keep them coming...
