They would look too "Christmassy" with the red dainite. Looks good as is. Congrats

What I really like too is that they give you shoe bags, etc. with it. How are they?

They do. And this time I also got a color brochure showcasing the different colors. Nice stows btw. That was my first pair of Trickers but I couldn't pull of that mustardy color

Bummer that stows are too tight in the instep. Does the in-step stretch out?

The Cordovan is interesting. Looks more like calf to be honest but it's a beautiful shade of red. This makeup has silver eyelets, green lining and pull tab, natural edge trim, a red dainite outsole.

I have a low instep so my Stows are slightly roomy in the that area; can't comment on stretching. From my experience with shell (all Alden), they do have a little give, but not much. Is it due to the gusset tongue? If so, maybe that can be adjusted somehow. I almost bought that exact same boot but the one they had was a half size too big.

How is their shell compared to Horween? When you 'looks more like calf' is it because of the thickness or gloss?

Comipel cordovan resembles calf more than shell
