Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread - Page 163

Ah, that's good info! Since the size on the box was crossed out and changed from 8.5 to 9, I thought maybe the box was wrong and the size of the shoes was actually 8.5.

What Zippyh said should be correct. My shoes are marked 10 1/2 5 which is the same as the stated size and fitting on the box.

I really like those. I would buy them and only wear them twice, occasionally taking them out of their bags to admire them...but I really like those.

There are some nice suede Stows there.

+1 with the Acorn. My only pair of Tricker's (used to have more) but definitely get nice usage out of them.

Ok, I have been following this thread for awhile. Recently I sold all my Alden’s - every pair I owned just killed my feet - no matter how many weeks went by trying to break them in - the standard double sole or commando sole just did not work for me. So I recently ordered my first pair of Tricker’s, I should get them early next week.

I have a couple of questions. Does Trickers use steel shafts? Their site says nothing about steel shafts in their boot/shoe making section. Second, can someone phonetically spell out Dainite? I can not figure out how to pronounce it. Thanks…

Dunno about the steel shafts, but Dainite is "day night" with the emphasis on the first syllable.

Wha was uncomfortable with your Aldens? What lasts were you using? The steel shank actually is more supportive and makes the shoe more stable. It has no effect on sole flex because it is towards the back half of the shoe.

My Stow fit much like TruBalance. Hopefully the Tricker's work out.
