Is this normal for Trickers? Got a pair of seconds and there seems to be glue left?


Also these are marked 10.5 correct? STP said I was getting size 10. It's a bit long but not too bad and width is spot on

That means size 10, fitting 5. Fitting 5 is a medium width.
Tricker's typically writes half sizes as 10 1/2.

That's why they where sold as seconds... And advertised as with possible defects, and sometimes there are some defects (even big ones as yours)

Thanks for the info, the glue isn't that big an issue and I could wipe it off, was just curious

When the defect is really horrid, impossible to repair or to conceal, David at reTricker honestly describes it and posts a picture when possible.

The defects I had where: no Tricker's tag on the tongue, some extra leather on the welt (easily cut off), some discoloration on the leather (easily covered), welt colored wax staining the leather of the vamps (not easy to remove in this case) but most of my boots where pristine.

I could never make blue boots work but those are completely sick.

I got some stow seconds that had uneven first eyelets with the leather not evenly cut/stitched

These look fantastic, well done - it's such a lovely shade of grey, and something I would never have thought of.

Considering these:

If I didn't already have blue suede I would be all over those.
