You mean the Florsheim x DB? like normal Florsheim I think they are TTS here's a quick pic comparing to Alden LWB in Cordo #8 to see how much more red the Florsheims are. ....then back to your normally scheduled Trickers programming Florsheim DB in size 8, Alden in 7.5 Both feel like the same size when worn and shoe is physically the same too if you put side by side

Wow, that cherry red shell really looks like a ripe Bing. Amazing.

Any personal insight re: the width difference between the 5 and 6 fittings (i.e. bourton vs. keswick)? I've heard that the 5 is quite roomy, width wise. If I measure a EE on the brannock would the 5 fitting work for me or would I probably have to wear a 6?

Brannock sizing is generally irrelevant. I measure an E on a brannock, I actually need to wear a EEE in most AE sizes and G sizes in Britain. You need a 6 fitting.

apparently the Hummingbird Hill 2-tone shoes/boots are cordovan hence the high price. at least that is how they are described in newest Free & Easy

IMHO, the toe box on all of those except for the top two, is dreadful. Is it purposefully awful?
^really depends on individual feet, as well as taste. i've long since given up the pursuit on shoes/boots on the sleekier side. i got fitting 6/E's & from where i [literally] stand, the toe boxes on the bottom half meant i can size down comfortably.

Trickers x Margaret Howell? Couldn't find any info on it.

Because Margaret doesn't tell Selectism or Hypebeast about every collaboration she does.

She has used Trickers on several occasions. She has also used numerous other British companies like Gloverall and Baracuta.

Here is my latest MTO's, they aren't for everyone, but I love them!

Trickers Stow Boot - Two tone Blue Aniline Calf with Dark Grey Calf Quarters, white eyelets, bright blue pull tab, and red lining. Natural welt and double leather soul with "topy" (sorry to those who hate them but they keep me from falling on my butt). Looking at putting on some round white laces to finish them off in the near future.

(crappy iPhone pic warning)

nice man I like those though I probably would have done something else other than grey, i find grey leather and shoes to be quite boring

glad somebody's got some balls around here
post #238 of 4781
I think those look really nice. I disagree with Jet though, I think grey should be used more, I think it can look very cool.

Thanks guys! Getting two more pairs of MTO Tricker's sometime late January which should be as "ballsy" as this pair. As for the grey, I am biased, but I do have to agree that is should be used more. Tricker's dark grey calf is phenomenal, and I have seen a pair of stow boots done entirely in the grey and they looked awesome. Of course in my application, something with a little more contrast might have worked as well, or even better (white comes to mind obviously), but I went with the grey to keep this pair a little more multi purpose, rather than just for "show".

I thought those grey stows were horrible personally but I'm doing up some customs myself soon that won't be for everyone (thankfully).

Post yours up when they come.
