Hi Richard, the winter light is really crappy (as are my talents in shoe photography) so that explains why it tricked you. The color is Moccasin brown.
Nice to see that you're around quite often here.
My bests from Paris where I make my best to convert the French pagans we are to come to you for a good pair of Northampton boots!

My collection is small, MTO burgundy Allan and coffee Eaton, all from Richard.
Too many Tricker's vs my ability to save money biggrin.gif

I managed to sell my black Golosh at a decent price!

You know I have a pair of Ladies Ghillie Boots Beechnut Burnished in store and I swear I could take a picture of them and make them look exactly like your Stow. You have a fine collection Mrcos. Nice picture of the colour range Sir.

Hello,

There has been some discussion recently of the Eaton and of the "not-Stow". So I thought I should share a recent acquisition, the "not-Eaton."

These are a custom order, courtesy of the Shoe Healer. In consultation with Richard I pretty much copied the specs for the not-Stows sold by STP, but did it in the Eaton pattern. They are, of course, on the W2298 last. Coffee burnished calf, and if you can't tell, these have a Dainite sole.

I can confirm that the 2298 last is more sleek than the 4497, and certainly than the 4444. As others have reported, it is just a little bit more narrow than the Alden Barrie last, perhaps most noticeably in the heel. I was a little worried about this at first, but with a little bit of wear the boots are now very comfortable for me. (I like the Barrie last). For the sake of comparison the second picture shows the not-Eaton next to my Alden "Brixton" boot, which is on the Barrie. I know that it doesn't seem so, but the not-Eaton is the more narrow fit. But it is not uncomfortably so.

I really like these boots.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some sizing advice on the 4497 last? I am a US 9D on the Brannock. I wear TTS on most Alden lasts, 8.5D on the Barrie last, and 8D on the Trubalance last. For some of the English brands I have worn, I am an 8E in John Lobb, an 8E in George Cleverley RTW, and an 8.5E in Gaziano & Girling.

if you are a 9d on a brannock, an 8uk should work fine, uk sizes is normally size down 1

There are so many options I am already involved with already. One of the most interesting will be a Navy Calf 'Charles' with Blue Suede Ankle Cuff.

Very nice picture sir, and I am glad to see this model on W2298 again. I have so many arrive and don't have time to picture them. Yours unfortunately was one that slipped through the net. I like it !

uk8 if you plan to wear them with thick socks
uk7,5 otherwise, but you may feel a bit tight in the beginning (uk7,5 on 4444 woul be "safer")
