just got lucky and ekopped these monkey boots - reaalllly hope they fit.

Leather Soul posted their first Trickers collaboration.

I'm thinking of custom ordering a pair. Thinking of Stowes in either grey calf or grey repello suede with a storm welt on a commando sole with black eyelets. I've also been thinking of the full commando unit, which is some serious sole.

The idea is to have a pair of elegant asskickers. Suggestions? What say you all?

Have you considered a stacked crepe sole, like the one Junya did this season with Trickers? Some stylist that is active on fuk.co.uk had some made in a grey suede, and they looked good. I will find the pic for you shortly.

If you want something different or rather less rugged than the Commando, but more rugged than the Dainite, the Ridgeway sole is often forgotten or overlooked.

That does look good, but I'm not a fan of that particular model. I wear hiking boots for real hiking, and I hate my streetwear looking like technical gear. I do like that grey suede though... quite a bit, actually. And I do like the stacked crepe sole. I may look at the Ridgeway sole. I like the contrast between the softness of suede and the hardness of a commando sole. We'll see... Is there a Tricker's model (not that monkey boots) that are like the Stowes, but maybe with less broguing?

Yes, the Burford and Grasmere are non-brogue boots.

Besides the speed hooks (which are probably also custom), I wouldn't call them hiking boots. I think they are extreemely wearable. I have actually thought about having the same model made up, but in bottle green suede with brass eyelets and speed hooks.

The suede/commmando combo would look good.

Sorry but I only get down with Suede boys, thats my vote.

was this on ebay a few days/weeks ago? size 9.5 or 10.5? was never clear as to whether they were usa or uk sized, so I passed up on those.
