Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread - Page 79

Every pair of STP Tricker's I've bought have been UK sized. My STP Not Stows were 9.5UK but I probably should have gone with 10UK.
I think the Not Stows are on the 2298 last which is narrower than the 4497 or 4444 country lasts.
For 4497/4444 I go with 9.5UK.
The Retrickers on ebay always have the lasts listed and are UK sized.

A word of caution about retricker. I recently bought a pair from them that was at least half a size smaller than marked. They listed it as 4444 last in the size I wear, but I could barely get my feet into them. When I pointed this out, they said they would gladly accept a return. They charge 25 pounds shipping; returning the shoes cost over $40. Translation: I paid $80 to try on a pair of shoes that wasn't the size they claimed it to be.

Actually, certain shoes listed by retricker on ebay are marked in US sizes; in those cases, the item description will state so. Fwiw, Tricker's quotes a ½ size US/UK size conversion.

^ They must not have thought that there was a mistake on their part here.

On 2 separate occasions, I received shoes from them that had an undisclosed defect. Both times, they reimbursed my full purchase price (incl. shipping); they also refunded my cost to ship the shoes back to them. While I was disapointed the purchases didn't work out, I certainly appreciate how they handled the returns/refunds.

It almost looks like you can bid on the whole shop, starting at 1 pound sterling.

Seem to be a Japanese retailer.

Those grey saddles are beautiful, does anyone know if shoehealer could order something MTO like that?  My big feet don't agree with the japanese shoe market.

Anyone have experience with the Robert model or the w2298 last?  From what limited information I can gather, these either fit true to size and slightly wide or very short and wide.  If I'm an 11 Uk in the Paisley brogue from the Sierra Trading Post deal (which are slightly too narrow), would an 11 UK fit in these?
