Elegant way to pay for things? Do you put on your monocle and (someone beat me to it) pull out your quill then load your groceries into your horse drawn carriage and head back to your cabin? My Mullholland Bros bi-fold has my lone credit card, 3 debit cards, lots of corporate/store cards, gym membership card, some cash, couple receipts, car insurance, health insurance, car registration, driver's license, not yet expired school ID (just in case I need a student discount somewhere), and probably a couple other random things

The cliché here is a manky looking student trying to pay for a tin of beans with a check. Neither image seems exactly flattering.

Oh this and that. I usually try to carry pictures of my cousin Lucy's husband's uncle and of an old family friend who used to always stay with my great-great uncle when he had business in that part of Illinois.

If this sounds weird to you, I'll tell you that you probably carry their pictures too!

Driver's license, three credit and one debit card, phone card, work ID, Subway pass, insurance card, occasional Starbucks or other gift card. About a year ago I downsized to a smaller wallet and don't keep receipts, phone numbers, airline cards, museum memberships, etc. I like this much better.
