wavy haircut suggestion

im kinda new to this but after lurking for about 3 weeks im pretty convinced that i really need a new haircut . i have very wavy hair and im not really into the idea of straightening it. i want to stick to a longer haircut since short hair always let my ears stand out too much. so here is what it looks like naturally (unstyled): http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/921333/foto1ix.jpg its really hard to find pictures of longer wavy haircuts but of what i found i really like this one: http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/586348/212jc.jpg would it suit my face/head? if yes, could a hairstylist give me that look immediately? im further wondering if it requiers the use of hairproduct. thanks in advance

Yeah, that should work fine although you'll have to grow into it. Lots of products will give you that hair look. I use Jonathon Antin Dirt just to give my hair the 2nd day unwashed style. Chris Cornell also has wavy hair http://www.superiorpics.com/wenn_alb...001_082306.jpg Vinnie Chase as well http://l.yimg.com/l/tv/us/img/site/5...1023192949.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._Shankbone.jpg Jagger in the 60s http://ultimate60s.com/blog/files/2010/03/8000204_A.jpg http://www.morrisonhotelgallery.com/...k%20Jagger.jpg http://cache4.asset-cache.net/xc/742...C270B7C542F7AF

nice, thank you! all three hairstyles are awesome in a way. i think it will be a matter of how wavy my hair actually is. do you know if hair appears more curly when it grows longer? if yes the vinnie chase hairstyle would be nice too. also you mentioned that i'll have to grow into it, does this adress the current length of my hair, or the learning process on how to style it?

You're going to go through an awkward transitional period as you move from what you have now to your desired final look. Best thing to do is to work with your stylist - show them pics of where you want to end up, they'll begin preparing your hair for it. You'll probably need to go in for hair trims every 4-6 weeks so it'll look decent during your transitional period. You're probably looking at around Christmas before you hair is at the desired length. Bring pictures in every single time you go in - don't leave it to memory. You'll avoid disappointment that way. Stylists like knowing what you want your hair to look like. Only your hair knows just how wavy it gets as it grows long. Ask your stylist (don't use a barber for this project) about hair product.
