Watched it over the holiday weekend. Great suspense and cinematography.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. The Italian hooker is hot as fuck too.

I hated it; aside from the most pointless nudity in history, it somehow managed to make a spy movie boring. Like the Italian girl or not, it had like a 3 minute shot of her boobs, for no reason. Just kept on shooting them, for no reason. And don't tell me that this is the kind of movie horny teenagers are going to see; it wanted to be "artsy," which means that artsy people will hate it. And all those assassins were the worst assassins in the universe. I mean, if I'm ever being pursued by deadly Swedes, I hope they're as shitty as the ones in this movie. Performances weren't bad, but the whole thing was dumb and cliched. I mean, the "whore with a heart of gold," the "fallen priest," the "assassin on the run," puh-leez. It tried to convince us that this basically isn't the plot of every assassin movie ever made.

I haven't seen this movie, but I think I can still argue with you on that point. Please see The Watchmen scene in the ridiculous flying owl machine.

Hold on a second...we're talking about The American, right? Isn't that the film where that guy goes to other countries, curtails their freedom of speech, stifles their freedom of religion, and generally poops on everybody?

Good book! And, strangely enough, I just watched the movie (Michael Caine version) for the first time last night.
