TOM DAVIES TD140 Smoke Gray Acetate eyeglass frames

(These are stock photos. Recent photo of everything included is at bottom of this post. Bear in mind that they appear darker when worn.) ======================================== As my ongoing quest to find the perfect pair of Acetate frames continues unabated, I present my latest, recently-purchased pair of Tom Davies frames that have proven unsuitable for me (bridge is slightly too narrow). Like the previous pairs I've sold here, they're brand new apart from being tried on and are still fitted with the original plain demo lenses. Simply take them to your optician or send them to an online glazing co. to have prescription lenses made and fitted. Do note though that due to a) sitting on the optician's shelf and b) having a high-gloss finish, some minor surface marking will be present (i.e. ultra-fine lines, visible only when holding the frames up to the light and trying to catch the appropriate angle). This is no more than any other pair of plastic frames purchased off-the-shelf and hence handled etc. would display, however I though it best to mention it. In any case, if you even notice them, your optician will be able to polish the frames to a perfect finish within minutes. Please don't confuse Tom Davies eyewear with the 'designer frames/sunglasses' you find at most opticians, which are generally mass-produced by one of the giant optical companies with exorbitant prices attached because of the inclusion of a designer logo. Instead, these are from a UK-based company, with products manufactured by hand in a purpose-built factory. Further manufacturer information as well as Blog entries, Facebook page and Youtube channel can be viewed here: http://www.tdtomdavies.com/cu.html Payment by PayPal please (Personal Gift payment or add 4% to total if not). Extensive references available upon request, as well as all contact details. ======================================== Model: TD140 Colour: 413 Lens width: 55mm Bridge width: 16mm Temple length: 140mm In High Gloss Smokey Gray Acetate with Gunmetal Titanium hinges. Complete with gift box, hard case, lens cloth & warranty card. This model typically sells for £250-300 in the UK, $450+ in the USA. 22nd October price reduction: GBP £80 including delivery within the UK/ USD $150 shipped worldwide

what's it made of ? How heavy is it? I have a full frame glass made of some kind of wood or sth. it weights much more heavier than my frameless glasses. Although it looks better on me, I have always switch back to framelss after work because its like i am holding a mountain on my nose.

They're made from Cellulose Acetate (also known as Zylonite or Zyl) which is pretty much the standard material for 'Plastic' eyeglass/sunglass frames.
Note though that these are made from particularly high quality (not to mention highly polished) Acetate, pretty obviously superior to most that you'll see at your Optician.

The weight of the frames, fitted with the demo lenses is 32 grams.

Sorry, not sure what you mean - Can you clarify?

(Mods - sorry for the bump but this user doesn't accept messages via PM or email so no other way to ask them for clarification.)
