It's a shame, he was one of the few stand-ups I actually liked.

This sucks. He was awesome. His HBO special is easily in my top 5. The animal fucking bit actually had me rolling on the floor laughing.

Didn't he beat cancer fairly recent as well. Really sad. He was really funny. RIP

he was a frequent guest on adam carolla's podcast. he's been through some bad stuff... having his 2nd wife (who was very young) cheat on him and then divorce him in the worst of ways.

Man, that's tough. And his daughter's got to live with that, too. The worst thing is, though, is that it sounds like he simply wasn't wearing his seatbelt, which probably would have saved his life.
