Hi,
Situation: I got a bird on my porch and he's been there since yesterday. I think he is hurt in someway; thus, unable to fly away. It's windy and raining right now and I think he needs attention.
Problem: As you know it's the labour day long weekend and no one is at work. I've tried calling the animal control services but no one picks up.
What should I do to get him through the long weekend until I can find a professional to give him attention? Should I let nature take it's course (seems kind of cruel)?
Thanks.

So problem solved, right? No, he keeps coming back now, whether it'd be to make my porch his home or he's waiting for someone is irrelevant. He should be able to survive on his own for the weekend until I call animal control on Tuesday. Turns out I'm the one that needs the help now to relocate him! Thanks guys.
