In Atlanta for Two Days

Thread Starter
Alright, so my roommate and i decided to come to ATL for 2 days from nyc for labor day weekends, we are here now, staying tonight (friday) at buckhead and tomorrow at virginia highlands. to give you a bit background, we graduated from college in 09 and been working in nyc for a yr, pretty young.

a big part of the trip is food venturing: so far planned Daddy DZ for saturday lunch, Bacchanalia for saturday dinner, and southern city kitchen for sunday dinner. Any recommendation for sunday lunch/brunch? maybe something our eating schedule is missing?

you may ask when im on styleforum right now: my roommate is in banking and now to do some work on his laptop tonight in the hotel room...i was hoping to hang out and check out the night scene....oh well, im gonna go to bed soon, and hope we could check out the night scene tomorrow night in virginia highlands. any recommendations in virginia highlands? whats cool?

we will visit the aquarium, coke factory and olympic park. will check out lenox sq coz we live next door right now. understand there is a lot of sht in virginia highland region so im sure we'll walk around there a bit tomorrow. Thinking about malibu grand prix too. we have a car.

but thats not a WHOLE lot of things to do...still dont know what the fk we can do to fill up our day time. any suggestions? we got two entire days...and one night for some hopefully decent night life in virginia highlands. any reocmmendation would be appreciated guys.

And if you have any interest in science fiction/horror/pop culture/whatever, the area downtown near the Peachtree Center hotels is going to be full of attendees at the Dragon.con convention (parade was today at 10). When I worked downtown it was alway a hoot to check out the costumes.

Overall a good list.

South City Kitchen is just ok - if I were you I'd go for Rathbun's. For Sunday brunch I'd either go to Serpas or Holeman & Fitch otherwise known around town as H&F.
