This means my personal shoe purchases will be limited to five (in all probability) for 2006. I promply applied a coat of A-E Cleaner & Conditioner, followed by successive coats of A-E polish in Chestnut, Dark Brown and Merlot to darken up the Coltons so that they were more to my taste.

The Coltons are very nice. Were they reduced to $149 as well? Grapevinehill had a ton of Slaytons for sale on eBay a while ago. Many sold for below $100. Which one is the Wilbert?

The Wilbert is a rubber-soled, moc toe/split toe blucher in A-E's "Casual" line. I bought the Wilbert in caramel because it is being discontinued. I bought the Wilbert in brown exactly a year ago. I think it has been my most used pair of A-Es since then, mostly as weekend shoes.

More often than I should, but not as often as I'd like. Five pairs in the last month, probably nearly ten for the year.

Wow, 11 pair. Never stopped to count until now. No wonder my wife's clenching her jaw when I mention another shoe "need." And yes, this Forum is to blame. I used to think I was stylin' in my Bostonians.

Do tennis shoes count?
I have purchased since 1/1/06;

2 pairs of dress shoes in Japan
2 pair of tennis shoes-Addias Mali for summer watersports and Ascis GEL-CUMULUS® VIII for jogging
1 pair of boots-Chesla's on sale at JCrew

The Ascis are awsome jogging shoe.
