Neapolitan silhouette comparisons: Rubinacci, Attolini.etc.

Attolini, Rubinacci, Borrelli, Kiton and Roman Style Brioni for fun

Keeping in mind the pinning. Just for the subtle comparion differences.

In a "blind" test, I pick the Kiton as nicest silhouette. Not too high gorge like Attolini (or too low like Rubinacci), nice proportions of the lapels and nice roll...

Just in terms of silhouette:

Attolini (Ferrari)
Kiton (less waist suppression, lower gorge, Maserati quattroporte)
Borrelli(less 3 on 2 roll than Kiton/Attolini as shown in pic, less elegant, BMW M5)

I have no experience with Rubinacci.

Unfortunately I have no experience with Ferrari or Maserati either .

Soph you edited your post to a very ugly Kiton from Ian, why?

Keeping in mind that diff. silhouettes fit people differently, or my body the order is Borrelli and then Kiton and I have no experience with the others but I could not see myself wearing the Rubinacci in that pic.

Didn't like the angle of that shot, it didn't show the silo as well. also it seem like the roll was artifically rolled for effect. Yes the jacket was better looking color wise.

If the Rubinacci is pinned it is almost imperceptible. But I like it

I put a better representation for Kiton. The other one had just too distracting of a tie.

It would appear Attolini and Borrelli somewhat very similar.
Then Kiton too Rubinacci although there appears more of difference here.

Yes, that is one of their most appealing patterns.
It's hard to do a true head to head unless they were all nearly the EXACT color. Which they are not.

I like the Attolini the best.

I like the higher notch lapels on the Attolini and Kiton. Very elegant.

Just in terms of shape/silo, I like the Rubinacci the best, followed by the Kiton.

Does Isaia count?

BTW, keep in mind also that the camera focal length can change proportions. A wide angle lens will make the gorge look higher and shoulders look narrower, etc. This is a major flaw in a lot of suit photos I've seen, especially auction photos.

The Kiton has the best shoulders.
