It wasn't nearly as gross as I thought it would be.

I normally hate gratuitously violent movies, and action movies in general.. but I actually laughed at how bad this was.

I mean, this is intentionally bad for the sake of bad. The dialogue is reprehensible, most of the acting is unforgivable, and the violence is so cartoonish that the people who did X-Men would probably blush. But, it was entertaining, and the Machete dude is probably the ugliest, scariest human being I've ever seen.

Jessica Alba obviously looked incredible. She's just a terrible actrice.

I was a drug counselor and one of the kids who I was working with called me up one night about 11 o’ clock and he was trying to stay clean, and this was 1985, that was when cocaine was rampant. That was when even the script girl was doing cocaine. He was trying to stay clean, so he asked me to come down. I went down there just to support him. I thought he had a regular kind of job and it ended up being the movie set of Runaway Train with Jon Voight and Eric Roberts. I used to box while I was in prison, lightweight and welterweight champion of every penitentiary I was in. When I walked on that set, this person asked if I wanted to be in the movie. I said, you know, “What do I have to do?” and he said, “Do you want to be an extra?” and I said, “An extra what?” I didn’t know what the fuck an extra was. And he said, “Can you act like a convict?” You know, I’ve been locked up in every penitentiary in the state. [Laughs.] I’ll give it a shot. So the minute I took off my shirt and changed into that blue shirt, this guy comes over and says, “Hey, you are Danny Trejo!” and I said, “Yeah, what’s up?” and he said, “I’m Eddie Bunker.” And I said “I know who you are,”-- because Eddie Bunker was with me in the penitentiary. He was a writer; he used to write stories and he said, “Danny, do you want a job?” and I said, “I’ve got one; they are going to give me $50 for acting like a convict.”

This movie was so good. Danny Trejo is a badass and indeed the most scary and ugly man I have ever seen.

The guy who played Lilo's father was also great. His voice is very nice and his eyes and haunting.

All the jokes about Mexicans were pretty funny. The mexican/cuban cigar, gardener conversation, and especially the ending fight scene. I lost it when one of the Mexicans charging into the compound had one of those little ice cream carts and a sawed off shotgun.

At ComiCon they were promoting the movie by having Danny Trejo work a taco cart.

Finally got around to seeing this. Probably my favorite of 2010 so far. Better than Death Proof and Planet Terror, IMO.

Just watched it. Very entertaining. Enjoyed gratuitous nudity. Danny Trejo is one ugly mfer.. Any time jessica alba gets nekkid, even for just a few seconds, is win. Agree about michelle rodriguez aging well. That girl's got a tight little body. Oh, and LiLo's boobs look great. She appeared to actually have some meat on her in the movie.

Yeah, this movie is just so full of awesome, it might have to be fined by MLB (skip to the 5:25 mark).

I love when the chick pulls the cell out of her vag. Booth's gaurds are pretty hysterical.

If you like this movie, I would strongly encourage you to watch Black Dynamite.

If you like the actor, you should watch White hunter black heart with clint eastwood. He plays Peter Viertel in the movie (it's about the making of The African Queen).

This movie is pure win

(Scene where doctor's and nurse's are tending to Danny Trejo who was just shot)

Doctor (stares silently at nurse's ass)
Nurse: "Doctor, I can practically feel your eyes in my uterus."
Doctor: "Be glad it's not your colon!"
