I wear 11 in Sperry and Sebago they give me a tiny heel slippage which I don't mind because I like it the way it is. My 10.5D loafer fits me rather nice and my ranger moc fits me TTS as well.

You could ask to have your camp mocs made on the same last as the BB chukkas, since you know that works for you. Should be possible.

It does not hurt to try printing the sizing guide as suggested, just to be sure.

What camp moc makeup are you looking at?

I'll print out the shoe guide for fit later. And I was thinking of going with just the brown cxl standard looking makeup. How much are Rancourt camp mocs than say LLBean anyways?

Looks like the main difference between this and their regular camp moc is that these are lined and have a leather sole. Is BB trying to say that gentlemen wear socks? I like the BB version, but prefer to wear my Rancourts sockless, hence unlined.

(p.s. I'm working with the premise that unlined rips up socks pretty fast, while the "sock lining" doesn't. This is purely based on observation and conversation. Others may differ on the purpose and merits of lined shoes).

Think "gentleman" probably signifies the leather sole. Concur that unlined - sockless is the way to go on these. The BB-Rancourt Gentleman mocs are nice, but I wouldn't purchase them (without a significant discount).

My main reason for posting was just to give ideas for MTO designs. But I'm also wondering if the BB Gentleman's moc is on the same last as the PDG Dress Moc, posted a few pages back? The PDG Dress Moc looked a touch more sleek, hard to tell.

With black christy sole..
The natural cxl darken a lot faster than my initial expectation. The color #8 cxl is great for those wanting color#8 with tighter budget.

Yes, that is my understanding as well. Though I wonder if lining is more or less significant than things like choice of leather.

I wanted my Ranger Mocs in Snuff Suede made unlined because I run them barefooted most of the time anyways but Kyle told me they can't do it with this kind of leather, so it definitely has something to do with the thickness and constancy of the material used.
Also, the shoes are very light and the leather very soft even with the lining.

  • Venetian loafer
  • Medium brown pebbled leather 
  • brick boat sole
  • tan stitching

Didn't realize they don't do unlined snuff. Throws a curve at my MTO..........So did you get the Casco lining? How is it sockless?
