Team Bison Clymers... fistbump.gif

I agree, not sure if there is a Tuscon Bison and a Shrunken Bison, as I previously suspected, or if there is just one leather that is called by different names sometimes.  I asked that when they do the clicking that they didn't select a piece with vertical/longitudinal lines for the plug, like the pic on the website, so maybe that's why they used pieces with smaller grain.  On the tongue, the grain is a bit larger.  Smaller grain than I expected, but still happy with them.  I've learned with MTO's [from any company], that if you make special requests and add side notes, they are more likely to F something up or misinterpret what you want.  This is based on my experience, and what I've seen from others on the forum.

The lack of the white christy sole does change the aesthetic balance, that's for sure.

Team Bison Clymer 4 Life! FTW!

I've stalked this thread for a while, and stopped in at my local store that carries rancourt yesterday. Tung, the owner, showed me this pic of an incoming rancourt x tobox collab. Thought you guys might find it interesting with all the bison talk lately.

Nice. So this is the Knox shape in bison? [fortunately] n of 1 says the shape doesn't work for my feet.

I'm loving these joints.  Those of you who got in on the @Portland Dry Goods Olive Rangers are in for a treat!

Sorry for the noob question, but how does the Rancourt sizing compare to Alden Barrie last? Looking at the Baxter, Clymer, & Upton boots in particular. Thanks!

Barrie +.5 (generally for most people and all other standard sizing advice disclaimers)

^If you are in NYC, you should may be able to try on a pair at a Brooks Brothers or Club Monaco (still?) or someplace like that.

Sizing is generally pretty consistent across the handsewns, so if you find a fit in person you just order that for your preferred shoe online.

And Clymer? Do we have another member for TeamBisonClymer? Can be boot or shoe, btw for everyone out there looking to join... biggrin.gif

I swear, I'm thinking about getting a second pair.

I like the Pamola boot however I am not digging the sole at all. Sort of looks cheap...anyone see it in person?

Not a bad looking boot.  Isn't Bulldog supposed to be very similar to CXL?  I actually like the look of that foam midsole better than the leather wedge that they usually put with the mini-ripple outsole.

$395 is not cheap though.

@MattBernier that Olive one is calling you!

FWIW I wear same size in Barrie sand Rancourt handsewns, though Barrie is admittedly roomier.

I was strongly considering that makeup for a long time, as an alternative to the Bison Clymer.  It's a winner for sure.  Checks all the right boxes.  You think it could happen in Olive Bison? or didn't you mention previously that Rancourt only has a limited stock of that leather?
