I like it, but would like it even more at $250 with a RLH sole.

Interesting... is there a current MTO option at that pricing?  Just searched the site and can't seem to find this....

It does not exist.  Sorry for the confusion.  Just saying that I like the Navy beefroll, but would prefer it with an RLH sole and think that it's fair value is closer to $250, but the cost is the cost.

Thx for the clarification... and lol figured that's what you meant, but was hoping against hope that actually existed as an MTO option..........

You can get it with an RLH.  They have Black and Color 8 beefrolls on RLH in the Ready-Made collection.  You could MTO a Navy with the RLH.  While I'm not that enthusiastic about $295, if you aren't very price sensitive it might be worth it to pony up the fee to get the RLH.

Then again, you can always just have it put on when you resole, if it's something you want.

Can anyone recommend a good edge dressing that fits Rancourt's brown midsole? Thanks

I used AE Chili, and I have used Kiwi brown polish.  First is a tad light, the second is a tad dark.  Neither was too different to where I wouldn't use them again.

AE Brown might be the ticket.

Shiwax!

Now I can finally stop coveting @FrankCowperwood 's pair.  Just need to get them dirty now, especially the laces.  The pics don't really do them justice, they aren't as jarring IRL.

The grain on the Bison is a lot tighter than I expected.

The Reltex Ranger sole is awesome.  I definitely strongly encourage anyone planning a boot makeup to consider using it.  I have the Aspen sole on another pair, but this is even more comfortable, being that it's thicker in the heel.  The sole, and the boots in their entirety are extremely comfortable.  I didn't want to take them off, but my feet were getting hot.

Looking forward to wearing these a lot in the colder months that are approaching.

They arrived more than a week early, and I didn't get up-charged as much as I had expected for the sole.

I asked for natural midsole, as Frank's stock version has, but I'm not sure if they gave me brown.

For the Ranger sole they have Smoke and Natural/Brown.  This is the Natural/Brown.  There are not two separate colors, natural and brown.

Thank you both.

The laces are: http://www.tzlaces.com/cord-5mm-patterned-strong-shoe-boot-hiking-laces/ that I had laying around for some time, but had the idea to use them in these boots long before I pulled the trigger.

@Bakes11771 Those look great! The RLH sole really does give them a different look. I think you made the right choice going with that option right away. The grain does look a little different from mine. Probably quite a bit of variation when you have a grain that's so pronounced.
