I haven't had a pair of mocs since my undergrad years when I strolled around campus in my LLB camp and ranger mocs. I'd probably still have them if I knew back then that they could be resoled!

Fast forward 20 years later and I'm back in mocs, albeit a full size larger ... I received my pairs of Rancourt for Club Monaco ranger mocs.

I chose to keep the navy over the olive. Only the navy pairs came with both the leather and taslan laces ... and yes, that's how I wore the laces on campus too!

Does anyone own a pair of the Sherman Camp mocs or can speak to the bison leather that Rancourt uses? I've been considering getting a pair

I have the Clymer boot in bison
Photo from the Archives (Click to show)

The leather is awesome. Thick, with a really distinctive grain and a nice shine to the finish. I think they'd make a really nice camp moc.

Wow those look awesome! I have a pair of CXL beefroll loafers on LH soles, do you think I should size the camp mocs the same even with the thicker bison leather?

Thanks.

And yes, I think you do want to size the same.

Be sure to post some photos if you join the bison club!

Couldn't say bc I don't own either of those.  What I can say is that I go 9.5 D in both these and Alden Barrie, and 9.5 E in AE 1 and 5.

I'm a huge believer in blue shoes - up to I believe eight pairs now.  People down here don't dress as well as they should.  You can't just throw on the occasional seersucker suit and call it a day - it's not enough.  And, radio-wise, I go back and forth between WWOZ and WTUL (Tulane's station).  If you want to hear stuff you've never heard before and probably won't hear anywhere else, I highly recommend the latter.

P.S. The family is now ready for its moment in the sun . . . .

red plum casual, Parisian blue, golf green (all CXL)

@halfnhalfnhalf: WTUL... Thanks for the recommendation. Got that on now.

Nice looking shoe.

The Parisian certainly gives it a very unique look.

Received my BB Rancourt #8 Cordovan Boat shoes.

Even found part of the Horween Stamp in the side of one of the shoes.

Unlined so they should be fairly cool this summer, and they give me another option besides my lined #8 Cordovan Ranger Mocs.

I'll have to post some pictures when I get a chance later.

Kind of disappointed that they didn't come with shoe bags, but they didn't say they would. I went ahead and ordered some Allen Edmonds shoe bags.

I decided recently to get the Brooks Brothers #8 Cordovan Boat Shoes because they were on sale and for once they had my size in stock. I did so even though I already have a pair of #8 Cordovan Ranger Mocs, and I'm glad I did. My Ranger Mocs are on the Montello Tempest Sole and are lined while the Boat Shoes are unlined and on what appears to be their rubber boat sole. The boat shoe should be lighter and cooler and just another great option for the summer.
