To be honest we where emailing back and forth on another potential order and I asked and she told me it was pushed back 11days. Shame to I wanted to take them on a trip I am going on

I always seem to order things that I want to take on a trip so that they arrive three days after I get back (not Amazon prime stuff, things like Rancourt shoes that have a lead time).

Right is much better than a little bit faster. You don't want to get the shoes and be dissatisfied or have to get into sending them back for rework. That's really disappointing.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to mine when they do arrive, as I'm sure you are yours.

That is too bad. They must be pretty busy as I emailed a few days ago to get a price on another customer order and have not heard back yet. They are usually pretty fast to get back to me.

I have emailed with Katie several times in the past few days.
Her response time normally was 12-24h, which is pretty quick taking into account there is a big time difference between her and my position.
Maybe your mail got lost, I would give it another try.

They are really missing out by not participating in this thread. (Assuming that nobody from there is lurking) Some companies pay good money for this type of end-user feedback. (Not so much lately, but I can recall a time when people were always posting, "They should make...")

I know Taryn made 1 post a while back, but haven't seen anything since.

What does a vender account for SF cost? Can it really be that [cost] prohibitive? Maybe its more an issue of having (or willingness to invest) the time.

I contacted Kyle Rancourt last week to see if he would have interest in a SF exclusive or group style makeup. I have not heard anything back and will certainly provide an update should I have one.

I remember seeing the discussion about it.

What is the advantage of doing that? Group discount?

Just wondering because any one of us can get anything they can make to our specification via MTO.

I thought either a group discount or maybe a particular makeup specifically for us. For instance I would love the captoe boot in navy shell cordovan but perhaps they could be a perforated captoe specifically for us or offer us a discount if we can order enough of them. Either way it could be cool and figured it was worth reaching out to ask.

This is probably a bit of a long shot, however is anyone interested in a trade if, like me, you erred on the sizing? I've got a pair of 10.5D brown cxl beefroll penny loafers from Club Monaco (here)...would be interested in trading for a 10D in a similar loafer (brown/burgundy cxl). They seem to do this is the Alden thread a fair bit, so maybe it can work here. Just curious to see what pops up.

I gotcha. Worth reaching out indeed. I might even be interested in something like that. Might be tough to get them to bargain on the shell, but I have no way of knowing. Keep us posted.

As far as I can tell, its just that one guy on the Alden thread that posts about it every month. He's being a little unrealistic in my opinion, in that he wants someone who has a pair of 2 specific makeups, in similar condition to his, who wants to trade for the same pair .5 size smaller.

I think you are more likely to find a trade than he is. Still a long shot, but at least in your case it isn't unreasonable to ask (provided that you dont' repost about it every month, that would be annoying). Anyway, good luck.

You might just try selling them on eBay or B&S and ordering another pair in 10D. (or try insoles, heel/tongue pad)

Just noted a "New for Spring 2013" section. Lots of new belts shown and a few new shoe makeups.

I like the taupe ranger mocs. And the espresso shell weltline penny loafers.

I visit Rancourt.com too often. :lookaround:

Edit: And then this

1000

Somebody hack my router and block the Rancourt site for me. And tell me that buying American is pointless. Please.

Yea, you're probably right. If anyone is interested in some 10.5D beefrolls, I'll be listing them in B&S once I get around to taking photos.

Question, will the Read Boat shoes fit the same as my beefroll loafers, or would you suggest sizing down one since I will wear them sockless? My loafers fit well, but truth be told even if I sized down on the loafers, they likely wouldn't have been too tight, rather just a bit more snug. Thanks guys.
