I intended to order the tan, but my salesperson ordered them in black. The black ones really look great, but I don't need a black loafer. I called BB customer service and now have a tan pair on the way. Now that I've seen the black ones in person, I'm even more excited about the tan ones.

If anyone is interested in the black cordovan venetian loafer in an 8.5D, I'd be happy to sell them for my cost including tax ($492.54) plus the cost to ship to you.

i have multiple pairs of the Rancourt shell Venitians and Beef Rolls.  The tan/caramel color is fantastic, my favorite Rancourt shell color.   It ages really well, and gets great patina.

See Ya,

Steve

So I got a pair of the Club Monaco suede beefrolls in the mail. They seem to be a bit tight under the top strap at the moment, but not really painful. How much break-in can I expect on these? I'm considering returning them.

The pair from my signature

Snuff Ranger Moc

Blind Eyelets

RLH Aspen

Black Deerskin lining

I guess I'll keep em since I haven't gotten any hits.  I'm was asking a lot for them, but they cost me way more than I was even asking.

I really like the look of those Club Monaco suede beefrolls. Waiting for the next discount window to order a pair.

I doubt the strap part of the shoe will stretch much, if any. The sides might stretch a bit and ease the tightness on the top. Would your feet be swimming in them if you ordered a size up?

Thanks. Have you received your rangers with the natural cxl and honey 232 soles yet? I'm anxiously awaiting pictures of those. Could be my next order.

Nope, no shipping notification yet. I will indeed post pics when they get in.

Those venetians are my size, but unfortunately I'll pass. I have a pair of Ranger Mocs shipping today, and in 3-4 months I'm getting my Alden Tankers.

Sounds like you've got two nice presents headed your way.

Thanks. Looking forward to seeing how they age. I have a few pairs of Alden in #8 shell that have aged beautifully over the years, but this is my first foray into natural shell. Just got them today.

BTW, this reddit thread is a great resource for shoes that have shanks:

FWIW, while they may use a shank, I do not believe it is a metal shank like Alden uses. I go to the local branch of the Federal Reserve bank of Chicago weekly and had to stop wearing my Aldens on those days because they would constantly set off alarms and I was always taking them off and on. I now usually wear my AEs or Rancourts on days I go to the bank as they never once set off any of the extra metal detectors.

People seem to get a bit testy when you are always setting off alarms in a vault with a few hundred million dollars in it.

Cheers,

Fok,

We're you ever able to gain any traction with this? I would still love a marbled shell loafer or some other really unique idea
