TH3515 I have the same boots and found the same issues you identify
. Not wearing them much because of summer weather but want to wear more in the fall. Would love to know if you find any solution that improves heel fit.

Just received my Rancourt Ranger Mocs in #8 Cordovan. They are awesome, and sure enough the Tempest Sole is different than what's on the website, but in a good way. The whole heel is rubber. I'll have to take some pictures when it's a bit lighter, and I'll try to remember to capture the sole as well.

I know, I know, I'm working on it. Unfortunately I've had to work late the last couple of days. I'll do my best to have some pictures tomorrow.

Horsehair Brush and Venitian Shoe Cream on the uppers

Simple Green and a Nail Brush on the sole edges

Sole Before/After:

Before: (After Wiping down with a wet cloth)

It actually made the leather more supple as well.  It was dry and stiff like cardboard before, but is now soft and flexible.

A Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will do wonders on the side of the soles as well!

Man, they are pretty! That is the exact make-up I wanted to get. Although I thought about espresso as well. Congrats. Wear them in good health!

Nice! On my screen there looks to be a lot of brown tones, I almost thought they were espresso.

Same here. How red they are on Rancourt's site is what steered me towards espresso in the first place.

I'll have to pick some of those up.  I hear a lot of good things about them.

Those really are exquisite.  I like the look of the texture on that shell.  The new tempest isn't as different as I was expecting, but I think I like the new heel better.
