Yes. They are cordovan. The CXL I have, which is in brow and not #8, hasn't changed color the same way.

How long has it taken for everyone's shoes to get delivered after purchase?

Generally within 3 weeks. I had one pair that didn't meet QC and that pushed delivery back, of course, but they let me know about it.

I sent payment for a pair on 10/31 and they said requested ship date was 11/14. I have not received the shipment notification and tracking number yet, probably later today or tomorrow.

It was a shell cordovan blake boot that they will have to dye in house, so I suspect that [in theory] other models might take less time, like if it uses leather that they don't have to dye, or has fewer steps in the production process.

Also, shipping method depends on what shipping option you selected, and how far you are from ME.

I wanted to get your opinion on a matter that is currently taking place. I ordered natural excel Ranger Moc with white Vibram sole.... One shoe appeared to be darker along with the stiching being a bit more beige than the other. I expressed my concerns and was informed to wear the shoes in the hope the color would level out. It has been about a month and I said I was ultimatley not happy with the product. Now I get the run around well since they were custom there is no refund and Kyle will have to look to see if there is anything we can do. My reply was (I informed them I was unhappy when they were recieved, I was told that three people inspected the shoes and there was no issue... I said i am the one who paid for the shoes and what three people think is acceptable is of no concern to me, since its my money.) What you are telling me is not a resolution.

I finally got my replacement pair from Rancourt.
They sent an 11B instead of an 11.5B. They are now too short.
The size guide was right on with the length, but way off with the width.

I am also very unhappy with the customer service. Many emails sent without a response, weeks without any communication, and a 5+ week wait for my replacement pair. I should have been the first served not sent to the back of the line.
This whole experience has been a joke.

What should I do with the pair I have now? Will Rancourt give me a partial refund if I send them back? I would be willing to take half of what I paid just to end this.

THAT is BS for customer service. He has the funds to return the Money.. he just got back from what a two week visit to Japan with his girl friend Taryn..... I mean what is right is right and people should stand behind their product and if they cannot produce they should refund. End of story.

Agree that Rancourt customer service leaves a lot to be desired. But, what is this a shakedown? You seem like a customer I'd rather not deal with.

Maybe they'll stretch, or can be stretched if you send them back? Are the shoes otherwise up to your expectations? I remember you said the first pair were mismatched size and had nicks and scratches.

Can you post a pic of the shoes?

Maybe they can be dyed since they are still natural? I know its not ideal, but I thought I'd suggest it anyway. Or perhaps you can darken them both with montana pitch blend or another CXL product and they'll even out?

Not trying to defend them, but it is 'natural' CXL, so some variation is possible, opposed to if it was dyed. On the other hand, they could have made sure that they used matching pieces to begin with.

Keep us up to date on how these situations shake out.

Sorry to hear about the bad customer service. It sounds like Rancourt loses two customers, and fairly enough,

However, I have to agree with Kashiwa's take on the tone of this last comment. Ad hominem attacks are unwarranted.

Oh God no nothing of the sort. I have had great customer service TARYN was awesome.... I was simply asking for an opinion. Also I was stating a fact they do have the money to return, and I think 5 weeks is a long time to wait to fix an issue. They have not lost me as a customer, I just want them todo the right this.

They are perfect. No noticeable scratches, dents... They both measure exactly the same. High quality shoes.
They just don't fit.

The fit is so strange for a B width that I doubt Rancourt could make me any pairs of shoes that would fit. Even with the size 11B the heel is still so wide.
I have a feeling the B width shoes are just slightly altered versions of the D width.

This thing is really upsetting to me because I measured exactly an 11.5B on their size guide.

Here are some quick pics

^ Those are really nice looking. I am sorry to hear that they don't work for you. I've always thought it a little odd that Rancourt goes right from D to B (there's a C width in between there, right?). And I'm a 11E, essentially, and fit into a 11.5B in the pinch penny pretty nicely. It is definitely a little mysterious.
