That'll be a great pair of shoes. I'll look forward to photos of the Aspen sole. And you shouldn't have to wait too long...:-)

Shot of my MTO No-Eyelet Boat Shoe/Camp Moc/Whatever after some wear.

The brown CXL develops some nice variation of color where the upper bends with the foot while walking.  I don't want to call it a "patina" because I feel that term is used to loosely around these parts.

^Looking good. Fit looks good too. I like that characteristic of CXL that you describe. Definitely part of the appeal of the leather to me.

^Thank you kindly, Sir.

Pic of the boat that I had in mind when I ordered them, and the ones I gave my dad last year.  It finally arrived and went in the water last week.

(I scribbled out the registration #'s on the bow, incase anyone was wondering what that was)

Damn!

Just to be clear, they are Cordovan and no chance at costing less than $350?

I can get a pair of RL Marlow for $350 and would only hold off if the Rancourts came in at the ame price.

I bet these will be $550+. They look good. Only criticism is that the punching on the trim (aside from the toe medallion that is) seems a little overdone. Still, interested to see these when they go live.
