Anyone know the difference between the Harrison boot and the Baxter boot? Both claim to have tradition moccasin construction and they look pretty much the same (there seems to be an extra horizontal line of stitching on the Harrison).
The Harrison has mud guards (aka double bottom).

The Baxter is unlined. The Harrison is lined with tan cowhide.
That’s not it. They’ve made lined Baxter boots:

Yes, I forgot about the mudguards. Never heard of a Baxter boot with a lining though. Interesting. Maybe that boot is a Leffot special make-up? It's in shell cordovan too! Beautiful.

For consumers one of the issues with companies like Rancourt or the Oregon-Washington boot makers is that full payment is required at the time an order is placed. Consequently, there is little incentive for these companies to produce the footwear within a reasonable amount of time.

To close the loop on my earlier posts about customer service and refund/return issues- I sent a snail mail letter to Mr. Rancourt himself and have not received any acknowledgment or response. I really wanted to support this company but I am done.

One more question for the thread, if I may. Could any of you comment on the fit/sizing of the Harrison boot or the 2592 last? FWIW I have a pair of Rancourt Camden derbys (115 last) that are too big (too long and voluminous), but still wearable. My best-fitting shoes are on the Allen Edmonds 1757 last (Higgins Mill, Freeport). Could anyone compare the fit to either of these?
Which size/width are your Camden derby shoes?
Which size/width are your Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill/Freeport models?

I believe the Rancourt 115 last is the same as the AE 511 last if that helps you. The 2592 is more generous than the AE 511 but I am not sure how this equates to the AE 1757.

Thanks--I am sure what you say is true about the lasts--I remember reading that elsewhere--but my Camden derby shoes (Rancourt 115) fit much larger than my Allen Edmonds 511 (Wilbert).

13 D in all three. Thanks
Rancourt currently has in-stock for immediate shipment a pair of Harrison boots size 12D.
I recommend you order this pair and try it on for fit testing purposes. If the fit is good and you like the boot, keep it. If the 12D is not a proper fit return it and use the store credit towards a size 13D or 13B.

I like them. The patina is not as much as I had hoped. They are very soft and comfortable. the acadia's are my favorite fit. One key is the sole and the other the leather. The Rally sole with a Dr. Scholl odor eater insert makes the fit sublime. I will send photos of the Redux. I see they are discontinuing that leather.

I have two pair of Acadia's I really like, Natural Essex and custom horse butt I sent them. Those two pair get more use than my Rangers. So much so that I am considering a pair in Espresso Shell. I don't really need another pair but.....

I'll post some photos tonight.
I attached a couple of photos of my Acadia Essex shoes. These are several years ole and get a lot of wears. The leather is like butter, soft and supple. I have not cleaned or conditioned these. The stains are from the idigo dye off or my selvedge jeans.

They fit me great and with the Rally sole are one of my most comfortable Rancourts. I have a pair in horse butt that are a bit more comfortable in a different way. The leather is stiffer and provides more support in the ankle area.

I have decided to get a MTO pair of these in their Espresso Shell. The Acadia is my favorite Rancourt and they see a lot of wear.

Second favorite are my Ranger moc in Shell with the vibram sole. Not wite as comfortable but they wear well and always look great. I am not a big fan of the CXL leather as it stretches too much for me. I have narrow feet and even the narrowest Rancourts can be a little loose.

Not sure what all the issues are about Rancourt as I read here on the forum. I have not spoken with David or Kyle recently but I do know they, like all other businesses, are challenged with staffing. This is especially true with skilled trades and more so with the shoemakers.
They have always addressed my concerns to my satisfaction.
