I have actually been thinking a lot about a two tone ranger moc, but haven't come up with a really winner combo yet.

But, alas, you asked for outrageous. I don't know if this is what you are thinking, but that is the only category these fall under:

Maiden voyage today on some Eastland branded ranger mocs in olive chromexcel. Found the same size as topsiders worked well. I'll post some pics when I can, the olive looks pretty cool in outdoor lighting.
Nothing feels better on the feet than unlined cxl...

except shell :)

I'd call this scandalous . . .

Outrageous is something like this (though not a ranger mocc)

^^ OMG. You must have been setting us up to play that card. That is certainly one of the most hideous shoes I've seen. It's like Punky Brewster x formal golf shoe.

Who is going to send that to Kyle?

Not afraid you say? Well, I'm certainly afraid to see anyone wearing that. I would pay to see Kyle's reaction if you sent it to him though.

I would be interested to see some less-outrageous two-tone ideas, if you all got any. And, you know, the more I look at those Yuketens, the more they look alright. Still scandalous yes, but almost alright.

^Thanks for the pics. Those do look very nice. Note to self: tempest sole, natural edging, color 8 shell = very nice combination.
Care to elaborate on the parking lot theme?
I picked up the shoes at my box at the local UPS store and then head to a dinner meeting so I figured I might as well get in a few photos so I could get them up on the forum... I am really pleased with how they came out.... I was thinking down the road the saddle shell would look awesome in the ranger moc....

Yes, it looks like it has the double lines so there is some space in between cars. Haven't seen that since I was a kid.

Got mine today. #8 CXL, honey RLH sole, baseball stitching. Rounded down my size to 9D and they fit like a glove.

I was unsure on the baseball stitching, but those look really good! How does the RLH sole feel?

^Those look great. I really like that baseball stitching. It's a nice touch. That unlined CXL is nice, isn't it?

I was unsure on the stitching too and almost didn't do it, but I'm glad I did. The sole is awesome - perfect combination of structure and comfort and miles ahead of my other crepe soles.
