Impressed by the construction/look of the pair George just sent. Feel like slippers and seem robust.

Ubiquitous Size Report (on my feet, your experience may be different)...

- 11 D in the Beefroll Penny fits the ball of my foot snuggly, but the heel is a little sloppy. Hopefully this goes away once the sole flexes with wear. Do not feel like I could have sized to a 10.5 (I'm 11.5 on the Bran) without crushing my toes.

- Also wear an 11 D in Alden LHS. The Oakstreet seems maybe 1/4 size longer.

- Have 11.5 Yuketen Country Loafers that are a little looser in the front, but again, slightly shorter fitting than the Oak Street 11 D.

- Others size refs: Sperry 11.5 D / Sebago 11 E.

My 8's fit best (without socks). If you plan on wearing socks this winter, go for 8.5 and remember I have a pair in 8.5 as well and just added a waffle thin inlay sole and it works perfectly...

Are their penny loafers made with a true moc construction e.g. soft and comfortable leather?

Or is the material more stiff like a dress shoe?

They are chromexcel, so to answer that question, yes. That doesn't really comment on their "true construction," but they are constructed in the traditional Maine fashion, so it is a yes on both fronts.

MSSneaker's stearing you in the right direction - we are true moc construction. And Horween's chromexcel is so incredibly soft that it conforms to your foot.

ironheart.co.uk is doing a collab with OSB, but they're mum on the details - should come out soon... The guy is hinting it might be a trail oxford, but it's not clear. Def seems like something new and limited run.

They have a thread in the footwear section of their forums I've been following for a while
