The OSB seems to be darker and more of a red tint than the Alden ones.

They're both the same leather.  If you scroll up, I posted pictures of a pair of the OSB PTB's.

I'm talking about the outsole in particular, not the natural cxl part.

Brown CXL with storm welt and commando sole. Worn hard. Love them

Nice, loving the wear on these. I'd go for a similar build if I ever went plain toe (all I have are cap toes).

Brown waxed flash cap toe storm welt with dainite soles at a little under seven months old

These must be good shoes for this thread to go this long. Ive been looking at some Alden penny loafers, but cant afford the $600 price of admission right now. I saw some similar beefrolls at oak street. ARE these really good shoes and can their soles be redone? thanx.

Honestly my Oak streets are my favorite boot that I've ever owned. Things slowed down once people (actually I think one guy) starting ripping on them for "Fake welts" on some of their Moc toe shoes and trying to bash the construction quality. After two years I'm coming up on my first resole and yes you can have them redone, great boots for the price

I too have been very much satisfied with my Oak Street shoes and boots. I have the camp mocs and the trail boots and a pair of the beef roll slip ons. All well made and comfortable. I recommend the brand.
