There has been a lot of interest in these since I posted a couple pictures awhile back on Yuketen threads mistaking their mocs with a Vibram sole. They look great are designed in Chicago but made in Maine; where I don't know but here is the link.

Just what we needed: more mocs, penny loafers, and boatshoes.

Lol that was my first thought. But they look pretty good and the pricing isn't bad if you consider Yuketen, Quoddy, RL, Alden pricing for similar shoes.

There is some truth in this, but the blue Vibram soled shoe is unique as far as I can tell and besides its not like Yuketen are easy to find; the few retailers that do stock them stock them in limited quantities which sell out immediately. I love Quoddy, they are available, but don't exactly branch out in terms of what styles they offer, except for the collaborations of course, which are again difficult to obtain.

iirc yuketen was planning the release of a similar shoe for its F/W line, and urban outfitters already has a mass produced version out.

i still like the use of different colors though, and the line is very competitively priced. the double sole penny loafer looks awesome.

Urban Outfitters version isn't made from hand selected Horween hides and made in USA.

I spoke with him today as well, he's letting me come down when my order comes in 4-6 weeks. Great guy to talk to.

Did you place some sort of custom order or does it take that long for the stock listed on their site?
If so idk if I want to wait lol

well yeah. no doubt as to the quality difference in both shoes, just saying that silhouette's been around. i think opening ceremony had a similar shoe too, although it might just have been one of yuketen's.

The Urban Outfitters pair is like a low Red Wing (in fact, I RW makes a work oxford), the Oak Street pair is like a quoddy blucher on a wedge sole. Yeah, they're both moccasin toe laceups on a wedge sole, but the style is pretty different IMO.
