I have the Light Navy Stripe reg chambray and like it a lot.

Meh, I wouldn't bother upgrading the buttons. After all, it is a workshirt so I sorta expect it to have those white plastic buttons.

That red looks good, had not noticed it before. Iirc, the Pewter grey was featured in a magazine last spring, looked good too.

that Land's End fit looks kind of terrible to me. I'd be curious to see a fit pic if anyone has one.
I got the J.crew one and love it. I'm contemplating getting it in red as well.

Here's the editorial pic I was thinking of:

Irl, it fits slim, somewhere between the sloppy LE fit pic and this pinned-on GQ pic. If it helps, I compared mine to a j.crew tailored fit I have in the same size (Small):

-shoulder width is about the same;
-body maybe an inch narrower across on LE (measured flat);
-sleeves a bit shorter on LE

The LEC website's photos don't inspire much faith, but the SW&D forum has a bunch of pictures of people wearing LEC, in an LEC thread, and much of it looked decent. Again, it's far from the best you can get, but it's also about 25 dollars a shirt once they have their 25% off sales. Free shipping too. It's mainly for people on tight budgets. If one had the money for it, I think the J Crew and RRLs are much better.

I've seen several I wanted, but could never think of what fabric/color to match with for pants.
A denim shirt I always think would look off with jeans, because of a clash of denim?

Besides white pants I can't really think what I would pair a blue-ish denim shirt with.
Any suggestions?

I bought one of those, but it was just too decadent for me. Sent it to Michael J. Krell for use on his new ranch. My old Wrangler is more my speed.

I wear mine with white jeans, tan chinos or cords.
