He's old school from Portugal and did quite a bit of work for me when I lived in the area. While I never had him make a suit for me, his custom shirts were spectacular and very reasonably priced ($125). Block out some time on the schedule if you go visit him - he loves to talk about his trade with customers who actually appreciate the craft.

If you're looking for an afternoon full of conversation, ask him about his apprenticeship. He once spent 2 hours walking me through the finer points of making a buttonhole.

Anyone have experience with Custom Suit Shop in the Financial District? How is their pricing? Quality? Is it less expensive than a $500 fully canvassed suit from Thick as Theives?

Try Al Kleber of Custom Clothiers of Atlanta on Barfield Road near the king and Queen buildings. Ni have had a tux, two suits, a sport coat, slacks, a dozen or more shirts, et al made there. Good value and service. Not super cheap, but excellent true custom quality.

The Custom Suit Shop of Atlanta does deliver a great looking suit at an affordable price for a customized suit for ones build. They delivered as promised for me.

No I do not. I own a retail store  in Dahlonega. Buy your quesion though do you work for a competitor? I hate it when people have nothing better to do then try to hurt a small business trying to make it, This is a good company that delivers a great product. The staff was also very helpful and friendly to me.
