Any caving to be had near Southern California?

I've taken a recent interest in it. I dont think I would want anything to extreme and dangerous, like going underwater, crawling around in narrow holes, or even worse, go to Mexico for it. I've been to Mammoth Cave before and have good memories of it.

Not that I've ever heard about. Besides, any cave in this area would quickly become home for the homeless. Nick Cave is touring here in November

My friends went acouple of weeks ago, not sure where tho. One guy got stuck coming out and shitted his pants.

went spelunking once which included two pitches of over 100 feet we had to top rope from and repel down. It was pretty intense. Go with someone who knows their shit because if you get stuck, its game over. other than that, its intense/ fun if you find the right caves!
