healthy lifestyle

Thread Starter
I recently began eating healthy as in no fast food/soda/sugery shitty food. I also purchased set of dumbells, a good weight bench/bar with weights. I'm currently skinny and would like to become more healthier all around. my goal is not to become jacked but just fit. Would anyone be able to help me design a workout routine with what i have. I'm able to purchase other items but not entire weight machines because of lack of space.

thanks

sell everything, get a gym membership, mess around with starting strength for a few months to get yourself acclimated to weightlifting, then decide where you want to go from there

I would suggest Starting Strength as well, but I don't see why he has to sell everything. He mentioned he has a Olympic bar and weights which is close to all you need. Just buy a squat stand and you are good to go.

I believe in running (or any sports), squatting, pull-ups, dips, and shoulder presses. I am on the fence on bench presses. At 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, I am fit.

And buy Valium?

get P90x.

People make fun of it, dismiss it.

But if you stick with the plan, or even just 50% of it, you'll be fit.

Yeah, but at least he's not one of those hand clapping "let's do dis!" lunkheads clogging the youtubes.

You won't get very strong doing P90X. Its good for burning fat since you are moving for long periods of time, and its not as boring as running...

The trick to a healthy lifestyle is to make small changes to step by adding fruit to cereal, a glass of water in more .These are just some ways you can start a healthy life without drastic changes.

It seems to me everyone is talking in a vacuum here.
Define skinny-are you a few pounds under or at death camp level?
Define fit-what do you want to do that your incapable of doing now?
Maybe all you need is a good diet and sensible workout routine.
