Are all 6 x 1 DBs terribly dated and unwearable?

Not my cup of tea.......

Prefer the classic 6X2.

Why is 4x1 DB not a classic ? BTW, is there any difference between a 6X1 and a 4X1 Db except for the 2 top buttons ?

I don't like the 4X1 either...

dated.

Supposedly dated and a relic of the 1980s and 1990s, but SF icon Price of Wales/Duke of Windsor sported jackets with this button stance (although these might have been capable of both 6x1 and 6x1 buttonings, as are RL's DBs).

Really? I have the three volume Sotheby's auction book from when the contents of his Paris flat were sold off in 1997. Among the many great color plates of his clothes, I dont' recall seeing a single 6x1. 4x1s aplenty, though, since that's what Scholte cut for him in DBs.

Do you have any pics of him in a 6x1?

For some reason they seem off/strange to me, even though I've seen a couple of nice ones, I think 6 is 'normal' standard.

I don't like'em. The 6x2 is the best configuration in my mind.
