Do you take an extra shave before social events

Guys, do you shave (beyond your usual routine) before special social events (e.g., family wedding, meeting girlfriend's parents), or are you just as likely to go as you are?

Depends what it is. In general, no. Something more formal (e.g. wedding reception) yes.

i shave just to look more distinguished when going out to work or to play!

sometimes I don't shave in the morning but rather hold off until getting ready for the event. Once in a long while I'll shave twice in a day, but I hate doing it.

I shave in the morning. If I go home before going out to dinner, I shower and shave again.
So yes, if it is more than 10 hours since my last shave, I shave again.

I go electric so its not a big deal to do it again.

Sometimes I will touch up my upper lip before going out (it grows faster/darker or something and I don't want it to look like an intentional 'stache)...if I shaved at 7AM and am reviewing it at 10, it usually seems worth it.

If it was a special event, I would probably shave when getting dressed for it (and if the event was later...I would probably shower anyways...electric in the shower is the shit)

If it's a formal or important business/social occasion, then yes.

Only for job interviews.

If it's something that is work related, or something that people are required to dress up for; yes. If I'm just headed to the bar or a friends birthday, no. I like my 5 o'clock shadow.
