Trim the beard?

Knew that the beard needed to be trimmed but didnt know what length?

Well your beard isn't that long. Do you use an electric razor? Either trim it down to stubble or shave it off altogether. Or go in the opposite direction and grow it even longer.

Based on what I can tell from your picture, I'd suggest shaving your beard off entirely. I don't think it looks bad, but I think you'd look better clean-shaven. It looks like you have a somewhat long, thin face and the beard accentuates that. (Full disclosure, though: I think almost all men look better without any facial hair.)

I've always viewed beards like this.
70/100 beards don't look horrible.
Of those 70, perhaps 20 actually look good.
Of those 20, perhaps 1 actually looks better with a beard than without.


Shave it.

To me, your beard doesn't look thick enough to keep close cropped. Just go ahead and shave it off.
