Good post. Seriously.

The issue is that you're saying "what am I going to do if I go out on a date with a smoker and say I don't smoke? Won't she think I'm a weirdo?!" Then we'd say "just smoke a couple of cigarettes, that doesn't make you an addicted guy with emphysema" and you'd say "Yeah, it kinda does." That probably doesn't make much sense, but it's the way I see it.

Then again, I'm pretty hammered right now.

I'm closer to the friends I drink with. Once you're comfortable enough to let your guard down completely because you know your friends will take care of you even if you do fuck up or start throwing up, you know you have found some really solid friends.

I'd think that if I was at the risk of needing a babysitter I'd rather it be a sober one, but fair point on the trust issue. That was one of the misgivings that led me to post this thread. In my case I've been drunk with most of my friends so that's long established. I find that after a few drinks people tend to forget that I'm sober so the dynamic is the same.

Except when you start hurling on your mates, then you don't have any when you're sober again.

I was just invited to a vapour lounge. All weed apparently and they have "juices" and comedians. That's got to be the easiest job in the world, walking into a room full of people who are already high and trying to make them laugh and be happy.

Calorie intake?! Just drink hard liquor straight up. Vodka is a nice light one...and resist the urge to eat.
