Comics had a bubble where comics that were only a few weeks or months old rapidly increased in value (DEATH OF SUPERMAN!!!!!) - that died. But the used comic market itself remains fairly strong.
I grew up around selling cards and comics - I am forever poisoned to the idea of collectibles.
Don't you mean the sports card market peaked in the early/mid 90s?
