What show do you like more?

I see plenty of interest in both shows on this forum, and I've seen most episodes of both, but I personally give the slight edge to Entourage simply because of the cameos and the occasional Piven rant (Josh Weinstein house party episode anyone?)

entourage hasn't been great since season 3 but i'll continue to watch. californication gets my vote cause it hasn't gone to **** in recent memory (of course it's only been through 3 seasons though).

Can't really say. Entourage is more epic, Californication is obviously more intelligent. That said, it is also significantly less realistic than Entourage (seems impossible but it is true). Also a bit too focused on sex.

I probably like Californication a bit more but they are just so different.

it's not even close anymore. Californication.

Entourage Season 1-3 were great. Ari is the only bright spot anymore. Sloan too. My gawd.

Hank is just an awesome character and Duchovny is a great at him. I can't say the same for Vince. Terrible acting.

Vince:Entourage is not Hank:Californication. They serve completely different roles on their respective shows.

That said Duchovny is obviously a deeper character.

Californication's major problem is the lack of interesting secondary characters. Entourage's strength is its breadth of interesting characters. All in, Californication is much more intelligent.

Californication would be perfect if:

- it toned down the gratuitous sex
- it developed more interesting characters outside of Runkle, who is pretty likable
- Hank started showing more of his true self instead of his public persona

i agree with the characters in Californication. no one is interesting outside of Runkle. Runkle's boss this past season was hilarious though. Becca and Mia might be two of the most annoying people outside of Tara in True Blood. Mia in season 1 almost made me stop watching.

Every time my wife saw the Mia chick she'd get pissed, she said she's annoying. Then we watched the last season of Heroes, where Mia was in almost every episode, and that really got her mad, hah!

Californication!

Entourage is repetitive and gets kinda lame after you watch it for a while

both have been on the decline in the last series (Entourage the past couple of series, but it is also older)...still I would say that Californication at its absolute best is better than Entourage at its peak...

Good point, although saying that a show is already on its decline and it's season 3 can't be saying too much for that show's overall quality
