Last week Jeffrey had that Marni pullover at 60% off for about 360ish. Almost bought it. The Marni store still had the cardigan version last week but I think it's gone now (they were in the process of shipping fall when I asked about it) they don't go past 50 though so it was still like 450.
for the record I own that schneider shawl collar cardi posted up there and it doesn't hold a candle to the marni sweater. also white mountaineering knits are pretty nice though I haven't seen any particularly thick ones, they have a good hand and the patterns are usually interesting occasionally too busy for my tastes.
I did not find them that impressive and was not fond of the collar though it is similar to my Ervell pima cotton cardigan.
I tried one of their mohair blend scarfs as was turned off by the shedding. For SS I'll stick with the staple outerwear pieces he presents every season and possible the wool / cotton scarfs.
FWIW the knit that cost me the most also pills the most, but also has the most character I guess with the pattern and blend (laine wool / cotton) re: Yohji. I think it is just the character of the piece as it has fuzz all over the knit if inspected closely. Really soft despite the pilling though and smooth surface on hand.

Marni has the best knits period.
