Maybe. It depends on which SS knit you purchased. If we're talking one of his stand out pieces, then the answer is yes.

sns herning and schneider are two totally different beasts

which are his standout pieces? got the ijevan. knit and fabric are beautiful, but structured shoulders and general feel isn't what I'd expect for the price, particularly relative to the stark.

how's that?

herning is very heavy outerwear-esque wool knits, schneider is about interesting fabrics and more aggressive designs

What Teger said. I own both and favor the Schneider. Which colorway and size do you own by chance? If blue and size IV, I may have to put a voodoo hex on you.

Not necessarily. Like Teger said they're different beasts, and I can see liking the stark better (or at least wearing it more often) because you feel less afraid of damaging it.

grey/charcoal, size 6. got a size 5 as well if you had any interest before I send it back.

i wouldn't go so far as to say aggressive designs. more like much more complex textiles

Ijevan is kinda itchy for me, but it's hefty and nicely woven. SNS Stark is pretty itchy too, imo. Pretty thick, though not that wind-resistant. Meh.

the ijevan felt way itchier than the stark--chalked it up to the mohair. never understood how people thought the stark was itchy as opposed to simply not super soft though.

I dislike all itchy knits.

I wear my stark with a vneck all the time and it ain't itchy to me but maybe everyone has a different tolerance for wool. It is definitely the coarsest of anything I own.

I'm done with mohair -- only kopping knits made of alpaca, cashmere, merino or angora .. Or a blend of all these.

This is the greatest thread of all time.
