So we've had scattered threads but I thought it would be nice to have a dedicated one. Watching Hori Smoku (Sailor Jerry Documentary) right now and it's excellent.

My friend just got a half sleeve (Upper half of left arm) done as Dali's Temptation of St. Anthony. It is absolutely sick. I will try to snag a picture next time I see him.

here's the dali piece:

I'm just poasting to say that I wanted a Mighty Mouse tat (Bakshi, not old school) on my shoulder, back before it was legal to get one. Then I forgot about it. Now I'm an old fogy but I take special delight in passing these younger, tatted-up triathletes at the local 5- and 10k races.

Oh, and my son asks when he can have a tat. I told him once he goes to college, he's free to let loose. That's - oh - nine years from now, at least.

And now...get off my lawn.

Yeah that Dali painting seems pretty cool as a tat, and I bet artists would enjoy doing something like that. There's two tattoos that I want to get, the first being something inspired by the Auryn symbol from the Neverending Story. Would probably go between or on one of my shoulder blades.

And the second from Cugat's Celestial Eyes used on the cover of Great Gatsby. I just don't know if I'd want it as a sleeve design or just copied onto my back, thigh, calf, etc. Still need to think about placement.

I've thought about getting some favorite quotes tattooed, but I'm on the fence about typography tats.

My guess would be that it is a music theory chart of some sort as it is the roman numerals of 1 - 7. I don't see any smaller numerals for the minor chords, but I still think there is a chance since it is a circular arrangement as well.
